Eva C. (Cobb) Giambusso, 93, of Framingham

Eva C. (Cobb) Giambusso, 93, of Framingham passed away Sun. January 7, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Northbridge. She was the wife of the late John Giambusso. 

Eva had worked as a psychiatric attendant at the Mass. Mental Health Hospital in Boston for 26 years. During her time there, she was recognized by former Governor Dukakis and received the Carballo Governor’s Award for Excellence for her outstanding care and compassion. She had also owned and operated the former Linda Marie’s Bakery on Mission Hill, Boston - across from Mission Church. 

She was born in 1924 in Sangerville, ME the daughter of the late Freeman N. and Margaret (Myshrall) Cobb. She had been a resident of Framingham for the past 23 years and had previously lived in Jamaica Plain, Boston.

Eva enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. She took pleasure in her shopping trips, listening to county music, and dancing. She loved to read, especially Stephen King novels and always enjoyed a good lobster. 

She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Veglia of Northbridge; two sons, Charles Giambusso of Peabody and John Giambusso; six grandchildren, Donna Marie (Veglia) and her husband William A. Gray III, Terri Ann (Veglia) Smith, Charles Giambusso and his wife Tricia, Gina (Giambusso) and her husband Bill Coe, Vincent Giambusso and Terrance Giambusso; fourteen great-grandchildren, James Ryan Smith, Edward Joseph Ryan Smith, William Aubrey Gray IV, Michael Everett Gray, Matthew Harrison Gray, Anthony Charles Giambusso, Michael John Giambusso, Bella Rose Coe, David Giambusso, Kianna (Giambusso) Madden, Dasia (Giambusso) Madden, Anthony (Giambusso) Madden, Aliyah (Giambusso) Madden and Emma (Giambusso) Madden; two great-great-grandchildren, Isabelle Eve Smith and Wesson James Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Theresa Ann Giambusso and Anthony Giambusso; a son-in-law, James A. Veglia; a great-grandson Joseph Ryan Smith and 13 siblings. 

Visiting hours will be held Wed. January 10, 2018 from 4-7 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville. 

Funeral services will be held Thurs. January 11, 2018 at 9 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 39 Church Ave. Northbridge. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood Ave., Northbridge.
