By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Two of the four finalists, seeking to become the next Superintendent of Schools in Hopkinton, will be interviewed tonight by members of the School Committee. Gregory Martineau, who previously worked in the Hopkinton School District, and is the Assistant Superintendent for Northboro and Southboro, will be the first candidate interviewed and he’ll be followed by Peter Light, the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Franklin, who initially was in the running earlier this year to replace that towns’ retiring Superintendent before withdrawing his name from consideration. Tomorrow night, the Hopkinton School Committee will interview the other two-candidates, Doctor Carol Cavanaugh, the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Hopkinton and the outgoing Superintendent of Schools in Uxbridge, Kevin Carney, who has already said he’s moving on from Uxbridge after this school year. Next week site visits are planned to each candidates home district. A new Hopkinton Super could be named at the School Committee’s next meeting, a week from tomorrow night.
